      <description>&lt;P&gt;We are aware of a surge in SPAM sent privately to some of our Community Users last night, and we sincerely apologize to anyone impacted.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please know this situation has been escalated with urgent priority. We are working to resolve as soon as possible and implementing measures to prevent similar messaging in the future.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you received an unsolicited message, you can use the blue "Report" link within the message to escalate so we can ensure that user is addressed. We are actively banning these users as reports come in.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I left one item out from my original post.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Starting on Feb 6, you can now edit your Known Traveler Number if already on your reservation on the desktop version of &lt;A href="http://www.southwest.com" target="_blank"&gt;www.southwest.com&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You can use this in cases where TSA Precheck did not show as expected on your reservation. &amp;nbsp;Just retype in your KTN and check-in again to see if that fixes the issue. &amp;nbsp;If not, feel free to use the in-app chat for logged-in Customers with the app or call or email us. &amp;nbsp;Precheck application is determined by the TSA so it may not always show even if you provides the correct KTN.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;We are adding that feature to the mobile website and our apps in the next few months.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;H1&gt;Changes to&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="http://www.Southwest.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;www.Southwest.com&lt;/A&gt;, mobile.Southwest.com and Mobile Apps &amp;nbsp;&lt;/H1&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We pride ourselves on on delivering an excellent &lt;A href="https://www.businesstravelnews.com/Transportation/Air/Southwest-Leads-January-On-Time-Performance-Among-Top-N-American-Carriers" target="_self"&gt;on-time performance&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;as well as&amp;nbsp;our low flight cancellation rates, but unfortunately sometimes flight disruptions do happen. &amp;nbsp;Starting on Feb 10, we now provide you with &lt;STRONG&gt;Enhanced Self-Service&amp;nbsp;Rebooking&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;options if you encounter a flight cancellation and we have rebooked you on another flight. &amp;nbsp;Now, if you have been rebooked on alternative flight, you will receive a text message or e-mail sent to your day of contact travel information on the reservation. &amp;nbsp;In that message will be a link which will allow you to make a one-time change to the reservation, within a specified travel window, if you would like an alternative flight rather than the one you have been rebooked on.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Here is an in-depth look at how this will play out for our Customers:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;First you will be notified that your flight has been cancelled via Day of Contact communication preference (text, email or phone call).&lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Once you have been reaccommodated by the system, you will receive a second notification with your new rebooked itinerary. &amp;nbsp;This message will include a link to select an alternative flight if you so choose&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Customers will have the ability to make a one-time, free of charge, change via Southwest.com or the Mobile app. This change allows modification of up to 14 days from the date of original travel. &amp;nbsp;This eligibility duration is subject to change.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;If you checked your baggage, you will be alerted that Southwest will make every attempt to reroute baggage based on the change, but Customers should see a Customer Service Agent for assistance if their bag does not arrive in their destination.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In addition to this change, our friendly Customer Support &amp;amp; Services Cohearts, accessible via in-app chat/e-mail/phone, can now make similar changes to rebooked itineraries even with checked baggage.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;This is all in addition to how already we treat cancelled flights that have not yet been rebooked. &amp;nbsp;In cases where a flight has been cancelled, but not yet automatically rebooked, Customers already have the option to select a new flight, within a specific travel window.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Please note, some itinerary types are not eligible for this option, such as reservations purchased via our Group Desk. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;H1&gt;Changes to Mobile Web, iOS App, iPad OS Apps, and Android Apps (version 7.2)&lt;/H1&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN data-preserver-spaces="true"&gt;On February 6th, we activated &lt;STRONG&gt;Multi-Passenger Mobile Boarding Passes systemwide&lt;/STRONG&gt;. This will allow all Customers to access mobile boarding passes at mobile.southwest.com, our iOS app, and Android app.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Prior to this change, you could only receive a boarding pass for the logged in Customer on multi passenger reservations. That added friction to the checkin process and was one of our top Customer frustrations in our App Stores.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now, for reservations with up to and including eight passengers, simply checkin and you will receive prompts to view and download passes for one or many Customers. We will first show a view pass screen for all Customers and then give you the option to download an Apple Wallet or Google Pay mobile boarding pass on supported devices. In our iOS app you can download them all in one simple tap.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If Customers are spaced out in the line, then a prompt will appear to remind Customers to board in their assigned order. The ability to grab passes for all Customers in mobile web should help greatly in this split line situation as you can access a pass even without the app.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN data-preserver-spaces="true"&gt;You can learn more about this new enhancement in this &lt;A href="https://www.southwestaircommunity.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/Are-mobile-boarding-passes-available-for-multi-passenger/ta-p/101170" target="_self"&gt;Knowledge Base&lt;/A&gt; article.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN data-preserver-spaces="true"&gt;A few other mobile updates:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN data-preserver-spaces="true"&gt;We have added a digital feedback tool to our mobile apps. &amp;nbsp;Look for it under the global nav. &amp;nbsp;We'll be using this to better gauge your feedback on our experiences even more in the future.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN data-preserver-spaces="true"&gt;We're testing enhancements to our shopping pages in our iOS apps. &amp;nbsp;Not all Customers will see the tested experiences but if you see something new and different, that's why.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Starting on Feb 6, you can now edit your Known Traveler Number if already on your reservation on the desktop version of &lt;A href="http://www.southwest.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;www.southwest.com&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You can use this in cases where TSA Precheck did not show as expected on your reservation. &amp;nbsp;Just retype in your KTN and check-in again to see if that fixes the issue. &amp;nbsp;If not, feel free to use the in-app chat for logged-in Customers with the app or call or email us. &amp;nbsp;Precheck eligibility is determined by the TSA so it may not always show even if you provides the correct KTN.&lt;/P&gt;

This should help folks get back to enjoying our Free Inflight Movies*, Free Inflight App Messaging*, Free Inflight Live TV*, Free Inflight Games*, Free Inflight Music*, and more while onboard. &lt;P&gt;The mobile website and apps were enhanced to allow Customers to lookup the current balance and spend funds from unused Southwest travel funds, vouchers and gift cards. Now, Customers can find and spend those funds across all Southwest digital storefronts enabling more self-service. This was one of our top app store suggestions.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Oct 29, 2019 – Multi-passenger Mobile Boarding Passes&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In late 2019 we began testing improvements to the multi-passenger experience by enabling all passengers to receive a boarding pass on their mobile devices. We have this now being tested on flights between six airports and have seen great success from the first 10,000 uses oft the feature. This new capability will resolve a top Customer complaint and enable additional self-service with full rollout planned for early 2020. Plus, it will help us be more efficient and more green by no longer requiring paper printed documents on these reservations.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;We brought our Free Inflight Messaging* service to desktop and laptop browsers so Customers can now use iMessage and WhatsApp on their Mac or Windows PCs. &lt;P&gt;We heard from Customers calling into our reservations centers that it was difficult to apply travel funds on the purchase page on southwest.com. We made this section bolder and more visible to make it easier to find where to apply your travel funds.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Aug 5, 2019 – Drink Coupon Improvements to the Apple Wallet™ Mobile Boarding Passes&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We heard from our Flight Crews and our Southwest Community friends that it was difficult for Customers who purchased Business Select to find their Drink Coupon when using the Apple Wallet mobile boarding pass. We moved the Drink Coupon “= YES” indicator to the front of the pass if you have purchased Business Select. Prior to this change it was located on the back of the pass which was cumbersome to discover. Now Customers can simply show that indicator to our Flight Attendants to receive their free inflight drink, where available.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Aug 1, 2019 – Inflight Portal Redesign&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We heard from Customers that it was difficult to find our inflight entertainment offerings, including Free App Messaging*, Free Movies*, Free Live TV*, and our $8 WiFi day passes*, with our prior portal design. We embarked on a redesign effort to better promote these free offerings and also made the design easier to read in a dark cabin. This led to dramatically increased usage of our free offerings while inflight.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;July 18, 2019 – Dynamic Mobile Boarding Passes&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We heard complaints in the app store about gate and flight time information on the mobile boarding passes not always matching the displays in the airport. We improved the Apple Wallet and Google Pay mobile boarding passes so they dynamically update with the most recent flight boarding time, departure time and gate location. Now, changes to these times are automatically pushed to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay boarding passes.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;July 1, 2019 – Apple Pay® for Air Tickets, EarlyBird and Inflight WiFi&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

We made our mobile apps easier to use to enable more self-service by allowing Customers to add and update Airport Special Assistance requests as well as add their Rapid Rewards Number, Known Traveler Number, Redress Number and International Travel information to bookings.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Feb 20, 2019 – Inflight Portal Assistant Phase 1&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We heard from our Inflight Cohearts and Customers that connecting to our Inflight portal was sometimes confusing as it required knowing to type in &lt;A href="http://www.southwestwifi.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;www.southwestwifi.com&lt;/A&gt; after connecting to SouthwestWiFi. We activated technology that makes connecting to the Inflight Portal even easier. Now, after connecting to the SouthwestWiFi network, supported devices will show a helpful login page with a button to go directly to the Inflight Portal homepage. You no longer need to remember a special address. We saw dramatically improved take rates of our Inflight Portal after rolling out this new capability.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;We added PayPal to our mobile website and apps enabling usage of PayPal across all Southwest digital storefronts. Now you can use your PayPal wallet or PayPal credit to make purchases while on the go as well on Southwest.com.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Jan 23, 2019 – In-App Customer Service Chat &lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We heard from our Customers in the app stores and from post-call surveys that you wanted to be able to chat with us when you have a question. We activated that functionality for our logged in Customers using our iOS and Android app. This feature provides chat support for Past Trips, Upcoming Trips, Rapid Rewards and Policies and Procedures directly with Customer Support and Services representatives.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;DIV&gt;A: No. Champions are not Southwest Employees. Champions volunteer their time to the Community without the promise, expectation, or receipt of compensation.&lt;/DIV&gt;

&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Q: What benefits are received?&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;

&lt;DIV&gt;Southwest flying experience, and overall positive attitude.&lt;/DIV&gt;

&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Q: How long can I be a Champion?&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;
&lt;DIV&gt;A: Membership in the Champions program is a 12 month cycle. At the end of 12 months, all Champions need to be re-nominated and re-invited into the program. There are no&lt;/DIV&gt;
&lt;DIV&gt;exceptions to this process. A Community Member can participate in the Champions&lt;/DIV&gt;
&lt;DIV&gt;program for a number of years, assuming their contributions continue and they are re-invited to the program.&lt;/DIV&gt;
&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;
&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Q: How do you become a Community Champion?&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Can you believe it’s been more than a year since we launched the Southwest Community?? It’s been amazing to see the growth and interest in this Community. When we launched, our Team wanted to create an inviting, warm space just like our Southwest flight experience. We are still building and tweaking and growing the Community, but we are so proud of how far we've all come together.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;And, in the spirit of the holiday, the Southwest Community Team has some treats in store for you!&amp;nbsp;First, make sure you log in to the Southwest Community on Halloween day to collect the 2017 Halloween badge. It’s gone forever when&amp;nbsp;the clock strikes midnight!&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Past users of Southwest Airlines' Company blog, Nuts About Southwest, may receive email notifications based on previous activity (comments, likes, account creation, etc.). Please know that &lt;STRONG&gt;your information remains private and secure.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;On Thursday, August 25, a number of users received badges that may have been triggered by a behind-the-scenes update. As you might recall, a similar occurrence happened when&amp;nbsp;we migrated Nuts About Southwest to the current space you are on, The Southwest Airlines Community. During the move, existing accounts were entered into our new ranking and badging system, which cataloged the previously-mentioned activity. Notifications were sent to email addresses associated with past accounts. We apologize for the inconvenience. &lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Discuss illegal activities or provide links to websites containing such information;&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;LI&gt;Post any information or software containing a virus, worm, Trojan horse, or any other computer code, files, programs or components designed to interrupt, damage, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Post a link directing users to any information or content that, if posted on the Southwest Community, intentionally or unintentionally would constitute a violation of the Terms or any applicable local, state, national, or international law and any regulations having the force of law;&lt;/LI&gt;

You agree that the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply to these Terms or to any sale of goods carried out as a result of your use of the Service. Software related to or made available by the Service may be subject to export controls of the U.S.A, and, except as authorized by law, you agree and warrant not to export or re-export the software to any county, or to any person, entity, or end-user subject to U.S. export controls or sanctions.&lt;/P&gt;

The following guidelines will ensure a smooth takeoff on the Southwest Airlines Community! Below is everything you need to know when you’re crafting your story, submitting it, and reacting to it once it is posted. &amp;nbsp;Allow us to post your story by following these guidelines.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Story Submission Guidelines for the Southwest Airlines Community&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Proper grammar and punctuation&lt;/STRONG&gt;: Please pay attention to squiggly lines. The story submission interface has a built-in spellcheck function. Please proofread your posts to ensure your sentences are complete and words are spelled correctly!&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Acceptable story length: &lt;/STRONG&gt;Posts should be between 200 – 600 words. Posts under 200 words will only be considered if there is also a video included. Submissions of 600 words is our absolute max.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Keep it classy:&lt;/STRONG&gt; We love hearing stories about experiences with Southwest, traveling abroad, tips for travelers, and a host of other things. Please keep in mind your audience when submitting a post, and review the Community’s user guidelines and Terms of Service. Offensive or threatening content will not be accepted.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Photo uploading&lt;/STRONG&gt;: Photo uploads are encouraged, however please ensure that you own or have express written consent to use the photos you are uploading. Photos should not contain copyrighted or trademarked content unless it is owned by the uploader or approved for usage by the copyright or trademark owner. Photos should be clear and at least 300 x 300 pixels. Unclear or low resolution photos may be deleted by the Editorial Team. By uploading your photos, you are providing permission to Southwest Airlines to repurpose your content on other internal and external Southwest-operated social channels.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Video uploading: &lt;/STRONG&gt;Video uploads are also encouraged, and follow the same upload criteria as photos. Uploaded videos should not contain copyrighted or trademarked content unless it is owned by the uploader or approved for usage by the copyright or trademark owner. &amp;nbsp;Videos should not be longer than five minutes in length. Videos longer than five minutes may be deleted by the Editorial Team. By uploading your photos, you are providing permission to Southwest Airlines to repurpose your content on other internal and external Southwest-operated social media channels.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Relevant discussions: &lt;/STRONG&gt;When writing your story, think about the relevant questions a fellow user might ask about your experience. Are those questions represented on the discussions portion of the Southwest Community? If they are, be sure to reference them and link over to them. The most successful posts tell a great story and also leave breadcrumbs for users to get their questions answered.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Story submission process: &lt;/STRONG&gt;After submitting your story, please allow 72 hours for the Editorial Team to review it. Once your story has been posted, you will receive a notification that it has been published. If your story is declined , you will receive an email from the Editorial Team explaining why it was declined .&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Get social with your story: &lt;/STRONG&gt;Did your story get published? Be proud of it! Share a link to the story with your various social networks. You can do so at the bottom of your published post by clicking each applicable social network icon.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Respect everyone’s opinions&lt;/STRONG&gt;: Engage with fellow users who are commenting on your post, but please do so respectfully. Online communities are popular because people feel free to express themselves. Do not challenge these thoughts and opinions, and do not become defensive, even if you feel challenged or criticized. It is the Community Moderators’ role to ensure that all conversations remain constructive and acceptable in tone.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Rejected posts&lt;/STRONG&gt;: A user will be notified by the Editorial Team if a story has been rejected. The notification will explain why the user’s post was unsuccessful, and suggest ways to correct it. Multiple rejections as a form of spam may result in revoking a user’s submission privileges. Further disruption may result in the user being banned from the Southwest Community.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Reporting violations&lt;/STRONG&gt;: Please use the “Report Inappropriate Content” button to alert the Moderation Team to review the violating comment thread so that appropriate action may be taken.&lt;/LI&gt;
