Hey, airlines – want to engender holiday cheer during a Nor’easter? Take a cue from Southwest, who went above and beyond the call of duty during the monster East Coast storm, at least based on my sister’s experience.

I want to take the time to say "THANK YOU" to all the employees involved with flight 2728 tonight. We were delayed due to the snow in Milwaukee but everyone was kept informed during the delay. This was a completely full flight, and still, everyone was in a good mood, despite the delay, and it was actually relaxing, for once, to travel during the holidays. (P.S. I learned that runways are NOT salted. And I LOVE the red can koozie.)

A HUGE THANKS to Southwest Airlines for getting our kids home safe, and on-time as well, for Christmas. It's been a stressful few days for us, knowing they were returning in less than optimum conditions. And you pulled through, as you have for every other trip our family has taken. Kudos to all of you!

Glad to see some folks were treated well. I was sent from one customer service agent to another on three different occasions for no apparent reason during my 4-hour delay in Baltimore.

You have to be kidding me!! My sister in law ran into problems caused by the storm and Southwest has done absolutely nothing to help. In fact they have made a point to infer that all the problems including delayed baggage, and not being able to print a boarding pass because of an error which they cannot explain on their web site is somehow all her fault! It is one of the worst examples of customer service I have ever seen. I will never fly this airline again, nor will my sister in law. It just is not worth the hassle.

Was delayed out of MDW yesterday due to de-icing issue in Detroit. The airport was crowded and we really weren't kept informed about the delay. However, I must say it was the most pleasant delay I have experienced in quite some time! I don't know what it is about Southwest, but I don't seem to experience nearly the number of grumbling passengers (could be fewer grumbling STAFF members contributing to that!) that I do on other airlines. All in all, not a bad day considering the delay.
