Last holiday season, Southwest carried more domestic Customers than any other airline.* This year, even though summer is just heating up, Southwest is gearing up to make the holidays happen all over again: Southwest’s schedule extension was just published, which means you can now book tickets through January 4, 2023.

Four brand new routes will launch with this schedule extension:

  • From November 6: Once-daily service (excluding Saturdays) between Palm Springs, Calif. and San Jose, Calif.
  • From December 17: Seasonal Saturday-only flights between Nashville, Tenn. and Steamboat Springs (Hayden), Colo.

These added flights will enhance timing options for business travelers and support network reliability in case of operational disruptions (like winter storms). Additionally, Southwest is expanding service in routes that will be popular for people trying to escape the cold this winter: In November, Southwest will fly more than 50 nonstop international routes; Florida flying will also see a boost on Saturdays, with more nonstops to the Midwest and Northeast (compared to the October schedule).

For People who are not trying to escape the cold this winter: there are just about six months until ski season! Steamboat Springs (Hayden), Colo. and Montrose (Telluride/Crested Butte), Colo. will both see the return of Dallas, Tex., nonstops on select days, as well as additional Denver, Colo. service, enabling more connections to destinations across the network.

No matter where you wanna go this winter, Southwest is here to get you there. You can explore all of Southwest’s new routes, expanded service, and lowest fares at Southwest.com, now through January 4, 2023.
