Candied Hearts and Candy Corn

Well...I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. As with every year, I've eaten candy since waking and experienced about three sugar highs and the resulting energy slumps. To close out the day, take a look at this great post from Jenny at our blog design firm RD2. Brian, I think it might rival your candy corn post from Halloween. The Blog Team also wants to say a special "thanks" to RD2 for the incredible V-Day design. This was their "gift" to us and it couldn't be more perfect.

Angela, there's a reason why candied hearts are only available around Valentine's Day and you can find CANDY CORN yearround. Comparing those chalky hearts to candy corn is like comparing beer to champagne. Blog Boy

It takes people all year long to write all of those tiny messages on the hearts Brian. :-) Bad weather causes new nonstop service sometimes. What is a blog boy? Joe Friedmann

Joe I am "the one and only Blog boy"... Brian just thinks he is. This doesn't answer your question but perhaps one day someone will introduce this word in a dictionary. I agree with Brian.. that depressing heart love candy is not as good as candy corn which is truly offered all season.. sorry Angela... why can't they have single candy... the sailor blog boy Francisco

Francisco, You can be "the sailor blog boy" without any dispute, but Brian is the original Blog Boy. Since he carries the big stick here (or the big candy corn) and can control what does and doesn't get on the blog, it is hard to argue with the fact that he MUST be THE Blog Boy. And, as much as I appreciate our military, I'm afraid I predate you on the blog, so I qualify as Blog Boy Junior, or Blog Boy II or Son of Blog Boy or Blog Boy-San whatever your choice. If "Sailor Blog Boy" seems too awkward, you can always opt for "Blog Boy III". Sorry about that, buddy... LOL Kim 🙂

Any chance of a link to that logo? It was cute! One thing aside...it was too bad the weather was awful around the country yesterday. We smiled extra big for our PAX because we were late (microbursts in PHX). WHY on V-DAY though? 😞 Murhphy's Law was in effect, I guess! 😉

Hey Kim, I was thinking you could call yourself Blog Toddler, but you post so much that just won't work. How about "The Prolific Blog Boy"? Francisco could be The USS Blog Boy.

Matt D: We've saved a small copy of the logo on our own blog - http://blog.rd2inc.com/archives/2007/02/13/showing-the-love/ I can most likely provide you with the full-sized header if you'd like; feel free to email me. Mark

Bill (or should that be "Beer Boy"), I never said there was anything wrong with beer--never met one I didn't like. But, beer isn't champagne, and as for candied hearts--I know candy corn and candied hearts are not candy corn. Blog Boy

Dang, I hate to throw salt in the Kool-Aide here, but Candy Hearts taste GREAT and Candy Corn is - well - how do I say this - awful. How can anybody eat that stuff? I'm just saddened that Candy hearts are not available year round. And I'm happy that the "blog boy" issue has been partially resolved - USS Blog Boy, we salute you and wish you a long success with your official title. Now what are we going to do about Kim? Blog Boy 2, Jr, the 2nd, etc., just doesn't quite sound right. Hmmm - Eric suggested Prolific Blog Boy. How about shortening "Prolific" to "Pro" - Blog Boy Pro?

Or, Jim, we could call Kim "External Blog Boy"? Blog Boy

We could hearken back to the days of the Roman Empire... Brian could be Blog Boy the Great and I could be Blog Boy the Lesser? I've tried to think up a clever mnemonic, but I'm scared that if I do, it will wind up being like the one from the movie "Accepted" that my college-age son rented over the holidays. I could find myself creating an acronym similar to 'South Hampton Institute of Technology'... Kim E.B.B. 🙂
