Being a Southwest ramper here in Buffalo, I just want to express my sadness and sorrow for the families who had loved ones aboard Continental 3407. For Buffalo being a small operations airport, you would never expect an air disaster to happen in your own backyard. Even though Continental is a competitor of ours, out there on the ramp we all look out for one another and are supportive of one another to make sure the passengers our are number one priority. May God Bless every family that had loved ones on that plane and God Bless the Continental crew in BUF, because it will be a few challenging days ahead.
I have read the Facbook and Pettition.com groups that want to have ABC's Extreme Makeover build a new home for the Wielinski family. Please consider the argument made against having a TV show come in and
use this tragedy to advertise Sears Brand dishwashers and Black and
Decker tools.
I consider this show to be one big advertisement that pulls on heart
strings to sell products.
There are many websites that give examples of problems that winners had
once the "Makeover Bus" drove out of town.
Since the homes
are built so fast, the owners run into headaches when it comes to
permits and other housing regulations. If you have ever moved into a
new home you will know that it's unlikely a family slept in that house
the night the "bus" drove away.
I understand that we all live in the city of good neighbors and we
want to help. There has to be a better way than letting a TV station
and it's sponsors use this tragedy to their advantage. I'm no expert
on the FAA but I would think that there are funds and insurance accounts set aside for these types of situations.
Agree or disagree but please think before you support ABC using tragedy to sell ad space.
Thanks

LET'S NOT FORGET JENNIFER NEILL.SHE WAS 6 MONTHS ALONG.AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HER FIRST BORN AND A SON . HE HAD A LITTLE HEART THAT WAS BEATING TOO. SO AS I SEE IT THERE ARE 51 NEW ANGLES IN HEAVEN. 50 ON THE PLANE AND 1 IN THE HOUSE.GOD BLESS THEIR FAMILIES
I knew three of the victims of Co flt 3407. A lovely family Dawn, Donald and their son Shawn, with Jamaican roots. Dawn's sister Ferris who I did not know, was also on the flight. This family is really hurting at this time, and trying to find the rose in this thorny field of tragedy. May God give comfort to all the families who have lost luved ones, and may their souls rest in peace.
