Dance Party at 35,000 Feet

A delivery flight has a lot of meaning in the airline industry. It's the culmination of tens of thousands of man hours and something everyone involved takes great pride in. The delivery flight is often a flight of privilege and made available based on seniority, so it was a humbling experience for Kyler and I to be a part of one, to say the least.

On July 5, 2016, we embarked on this remarkable experience along with other selected Employees and Crew Members. We were invited as two of the handful of social influencers who had the pleasure of partaking in the delivery flight of Southwest Airline's newest member to the fleet. The flight course was from the Boeing factory in Seattle to Dallas's Love Field Airport. Have you ever had one of those moments in your life when you're so excited that you're probably tweeking out and scaring those around you? Well, this was definitely one of those moments. Lucky for us, this was a charter flight, so TSA couldn't throw us off the plane.

The flight kicked off with an inflight fashion show! Crew Members sporting the brand new uniforms strutted their stuff down the center aisle, all while onlookers cheered. It was definitely not something I'm used to. If that wasn't different enough, the beat dropped. The next thing we knew, we were grooving at the coolest dance party, all while cruising at 35,000 feet! Southwest sure knows how to throw a party; I'll tell ya that much!

Though our line of work as adventure filmmakers has shown us our fair share of epic events—from climbing vertical cliffs in the rain to hanging out of helicopters—this one will go down in the books. We are excited to share with you a glimpse of that memorable adventure. Click the link to watch our recap video!
