Have you ever learned a new word and then you start hearing it all the time? A few years back I learned the word “raconteur.” It is probably French in origin, but it means a talented story teller and retired Captain Dick East fits the bill.
This is the third and last part of story-telling session with Dick East and Houston Ronald McDonald House co-founder Liz Kelly. He is quite the raconteur and in this installment, hear Dick tell about flying the Spirit of Hope, which is one of our aircraft dedicated to the Ronald McDonald House and the story of his first visit to the original Ronald Mcdonald house in Philadelphia.
Dick also tells the story about his last flight before retirement and some of the surprises along the way.
