James Bond and the DC-3

Okay, the only relation this post has to Southwest Airlines is that it is about aviation and I am writing it.  However, as a big James Bond fan and a even bigger fan of the Douglas DC-3--I took my first airplane ride on one in 1954, I had to share this post that I found on the Flight International blog.  It looks like the next Bond film is going to feature this venerable airliner. See ya at the movies.

How cool. A DC-3 in a dogfight? Hopefully the movie will be far better than it's ridiculous name would imply.

Wow... now that's rather neat! I'm looking forward to seeing a DC3 at Berlin Tempelhof in June - they will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift this year. It will be a massive fly-in, and will have a lot of importance as well, as it may be the last as Tempelhof may close soon... I'm hoping to travel up with my company's Junker Ju52, which will be accompanied by the Lufthansa Ju52 as well, so it should be rather nice! :o)) Raphael
