Military-Friendly Employer

Brian..........I wrote an entry earlier but it did not go through.. I am not suprised at all that Southwest made this list. You guys have done so much for the troops including your own... Flying Southwest is the least stressful part of being in the military... thanks for getting me home to see my family.. USS BLOG BOY

Once a Southwest jet was taxiing to the gate in San Jose and the flight attendant asked his Customers to have kind thoughts and prayers about our troops serving in Iraq. All the Customers applauded.

I LUV this country and LUV the fact that SWA is such a military-friendly airline! We practically bleed red white and blue! (canyon blue, but still...) I LUV the Freedom that Southwest gives us as Employees to show our Heroes, Veterans, and their families that we appreciate what they sacrifice for our country. From making an Inflight announcement, to changing a reservation and reuniting a family a little bit sooner, to greeting a Hero upon their return home, Southwest is dedicated to serving our military personnel. Thank you to Gary, Colleen, and Herb for giving us that Freedom. And thank you to Francisco and the rest of our Servicemen and women who willingly put themselves in harm's way to preserve the Freedoms this great country was built upon. You truly are Heroes. We LUV you!

hi, I am trying to get some help from you - not usual help :-) I had a chance to take a photo with your captain/pilot last Dec in Paris, who executed the flight to Paris on Dec 23 and left Dec 25th. I know his name is Paul but cannot remember the surname. Appreciate your help to pass on the photo to him if convenient for you to find him out from your captain/pilot profile. (although I dont know how to attach a photo in the BLOG) Thanks and appreciate the help.

Hi Annetta, Thanks for your comment, but I wonder if you have the right airline. Southwest doesn't fly internationally at all, even with charter flights. So unless "Paul" was in Paris on vacation, he probably wasn't one of our Pilots. On the other hand, Northwest flies to Paris, maybe that is the airline? Brian

Brian, I was looking back at some of your posts and saw this one about SWA's support ofr the military. As a Vietnam era Vet who is slightly disabled I am glad to see the support, and again I have to say I am not really suprised at the support. Thanks from a VET.
