“As a Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant, sometimes I feel like a superhero.”

—Elizabeth Benda, Flight Attendant

When dressed in her Southwest Airlines uniform, Denver-based Elizabeth Benda feels like the luckiest girl in the world. For the past seven years, she’s welcomed Customers onto planes and created lasting memories with her genuine smile and Hospitality. Southwest Airlines Flight Attendants provide our Customers Positively Outrageous Service that is friendly, fun, and caring every day. Elizabeth has earned the nickname “Fly Girl,” and, like most superheroes, she is dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives—one flight at a time. Core Roles: “Safety is first and foremost at Southwest, but I am also encouraged to be myself and have fun. For me, that means donning an invisible cape and taking great care of our Customers.” Giving Back: “My family and I volunteer at The Salvation Army. And through Southwest, we have served many meals at the Ronald McDonald House in Denver.” With the Band: “My Crew Members and I are known to sing a song or two. I’m learning to play the ukulele so that I can bring it along with me on my trips and have sing-alongs with our Customers.”
