U.S. Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Michael Chertoff recently presented Southwest Airlines with a special recognition in Washington D.C. for our assistance with the TSA this past year. The Secretary’s Award for Team DHS Excellence recognizes outstanding team achievements by employees working in a group to advance the mission of the DHS. The work of the team may have resulted in superior performance, significant operational improvements, or notable innovation in support of DHS missions.
