In the past several years, I have avoided Southwest Airlines' flights if at all possible. Comparing their flight schedules and airfares for flights to and from Houston, I find their competition to have lower fares and much more comfortable flights and better rewards. Southwest Airlines advertises their free checked bags, but as a credit card holder, there are no baggage fees on their competitor's flights. Southwest Airlines no longer offers lower fares. Those days are long gone. Why would I purchase tickets at higher fares only to be shuttled on Southwest Airline's flights like cattle? Why would I pay higher fares to fly on Southwest Flights? I do not and will not. Meanwhile, I am earning flight rewards to fly all over the world on their competitior's frequent flyer programs!!! Southwest Airlines is heading under.

Southwest Airlines' flight attendants have a very poor sense of humor. Their jokes are not funny, but are rather immature and annoying.

Elizabeth, I am going to have to disagree with you on this one: I fly southwest every chance I get! Although their prices can be placed slightly higher than their competitors you just can not beat their flexibility. Having the option to change or cancel a flight with no additional cost is an unbeatable option. With that, as a college student being able to check two bags for free is a huge money save (especially for someone that tends to over the pack). I have always been met with a warm smile by stuarts willing to help in any way they can. I AM NUTS ABOUT SOUTHWEST!!

While I'm not sure this was the intended post to comment on, I appreciate your feedback, Elizabeth. We are happy to give you the Freedom to Fly, and help even the playing field for those low fares you're finding elsewhere. I'm sorry you're not satisfied with Southwest. I hope we can find a way to make it a better experience for you, should you find yourself on a LUV jet in the future. I'll work on some funnier jokes, too. Aslip, thanks for your encouragement. Both are equally welcome (for different reasons, but welcome all the same). Hope y'all are well.
