Southwest Airlines® (NYSE: LUV) today filed an application with the U.S. Department of Transportation to provide daily, nonstop service between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Lic. Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, beginning in November 2015, subject to approvals from relevant governmental agencies.
"Our new daily flight from the Rockies to the Mexican Pacific coastline will give our Colorado Customers as well as connecting passengers quick access to another international destination," said Steven Swan, Southwest Airlines Director of International Planning.
