The series is all tied up! It looks like fans of the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics are in for another epic NBA title bout. Game Three in Boston is scheduled for Tuesday, June 8, but today marked the second leg of the Larry O’Brien trophy’s journey to this year’s Finals' cities.

The trophy landed shortly after noon today at Southwest’s gates located at Terminal E at Boston Logan International Airport. As the Official Airline of the NBA, Southwest Airlines has the proud opportunity to deliver the coveted Larry O’Brien trophy to the Finals' cities.

Flying aboard Slam Dunk One, Southwest Airlines Captain Dave Robinson and First Officer Rick Niehaus delivered the trophy to Celtics’ great Dave Cowens. (Last week, the trophy landed at LAX, where it was met by legendary Lakers’ Forward Michael Cooper.)

As the series heats up later this week, Southwest is proud to have played a role in bringing the hardware to both Los Angeles and Boston. Make sure your seatbelt is secured and your tray table is in its upright and locked position. We’re in for a wild ride!
