Lights, camera, SWAction!  Southwest Airlines hits the big screen tomorrow as the major motion picture Moneyball starring Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman, debuts in theaters across the country.

The film is based on the 2002 story of Oakland Athletic's general manager Billy Beane's successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players.  In the scene when the Oakland A's start spring training, our yellow, red, and white Southwest logo is prominently displayed on the baseball field.  You’ll also notice scenes shot at the Oakland Airport, and if you look very closely you may recognize some of our very own Employees from the Oakland Station!

Moneyball

The movie premiered in Oakland earlier this week and Southwest Airlines was onsite to get a sneak peek at this amazing film.  Whether you’re a baseball fan or a Brad Pitt fan, this film is a must-see and we’re sure you’ll LUV it!

I Love, Love Southwest! What you see is what you get! One of the one best things that i love about this airline are the Dings...and the e-mails..., letting us about the unbelievable specials and promos on a daily basis. When i hear the "Ding" on my computer desktop, i can't help but look at what the special is, whether i am traveling or not...I say, don't book the first special you get, but then again, when the price sounds right, "Book It". I love the "side-walk" check in making the trip so much easier and Southwest is one of the only airlines that allows two traveling bags on the plane and one carry-on, affording you to take those extra outfits, you may have left home, or maybe that is a good idea anyway...too many outfits, never to wear them most of the time. The flight attendants are friendly, and very observing...they can see in a hot minute, if you are not feeling well, or are uncomfortable. They offer to help at the drop of a dime. The no frills attitude, saves you the bucks. a cup of Joe, a snack, a drink and that is it...who cares anyway, the Florida trip is under three hours. The luggage pick-up is a snap, by the time you get down there, it is on its way down the shoot, ready for you to grab and get going to the car rental. Why do i love Southwest? Let me count the ways...Ciao and Happy Flying...wherever you may be going!
