Southwest Airlines presents Ray LaMontagne – Live from the Artists Den!

As part of an ongoing partnership with the Artists Den, Southwest Airlines recently sponsored a very special performance by Ray LaMontagne and his band, the Pariah Dogs.

A long-time fan of Ray LaMontagne, I was beyond excited to learn I would be traveling to the historic Don Strange Ranch in Boerne, Texas, for a fun-filled evening that would encompass three of my favorite things: Southwest Airlines, the Artists Den, and Ray’s music!

After a short Southwest flight from Dallas Love Field to San Antonio International Airport, I was on my way to the Hill Country for an evening that proved to be nothing short of magical.

On the cool, autumn night, there could not have been a more fitting location for the folksy sounds of Ray’s music. The performance was held in a beautiful barn, just large enough to hold the four hundred fans that traveled from all corners of the country to attend the show. Beneath the big Texas sky, and miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city, we were mesmerized by the songs from his band’s latest album, God Willin’ & The Creek Don’t Rise. Ray even treated us to a few songs from his previous albums, including two of my personal favorites, Trouble and You Are The Best Thing. I have a couple of pictures here from the event but be sure and check out the performance web site for great photos and music too!

On behalf of everyone that was lucky enough to experience Ray’s music that night, I want to extend a huge “THANKS!”  to Southwest and the Artists Den for leaving us with such unforgettable memories.

I wish I knew about this concert. I would have driven to Boerne, Texas and seen it. I love Ray's style. I will catch him in concert eventually. Your partnership with Artists Den is an awesome one. I need to keep up with it. Where do I find out about future events?

Very neat.....I recently discovered Ray Lamontagne by accident while searching for Ray Charles on Rhapsody. If you are tired of what passes for "music" these days, then give Ray (either one) a try. You will not ne disappointed. Cheers, Me
