What is a birthday party without presents and a few surprises? To celebrate Southwest Airlines’ 50th Anniversary, Southwest surprised and delighted Customers at our home airport, Dallas Love Field, with a celebration that embodied the true Southwest fun-LUVing spirit and gratitude for our Customers on this momentous occasion.
From June 1 through June 18, Customers had the chance to engage with Southwest online to win prizes through a baggage claim-themed sweepstakes. This past Friday, Southwest brought that online experience to life at Dallas Love Field on Southwest’s newly-themed holiday Wanna Get Away Day on June 18 (Southwest’s Anniversary).
As Southwest Customers approached the baggage claim area, they were surprised and delighted with a baggage carousel full of 50th-themed gift boxes. While waiting for their luggage, Customers had the opportunity to select a package and walk away with great prizes ranging from Southwest swag, to 5,000 Rapid Rewards bonus points, to vacation packages from Southwest Vacations.
