When I use the link to it does not recognize that I’m a prime member and I can’t access the travel deals even though I am definitely a member

Doesn't work for me either. I have a feeling these discounts are for destinations no one wants to go to, like Detroit. Tried Orlando and got an error. I too am a Prime member.

This isn't working for me either. Quite the bummer since I just cancelled a different flight to book this one and can't even use the sale now.

Never cancel a confirmed reservation until you confirm the replacement reservation.  It will be a double-booking if exactly the same date with the same route or even a different one, but you have several hours or days before the airline automatically cancels one of them.  So make your new res and then go and cancel the old one, paying attention to the Record Locater.
