TRG at CES: A Traveler's Power Backpack

Admit it, you have been traveling before when you noticed that your phone/tablet is on its last dying breath. Everyone has (myself included!). Your device seems to be going down by the second and you're scrambling around to find your charger in your bag, and then the even more dreaded task; finding an outlet where you have to sit down and look like the idiot plugged into the wall. We've all been there (and probably don't want to go back).

Now, this doesn't have to happen anymore. While walking around the 1.85 million square feet of show space, we stumbled upon a relatively new company called TYLT. TYLT is all about doing things differently, and if any of you have ever been to TRG, you'll know that that's the way we do things. We were really intrigued, so we stepped in. We met with the PR team from the company who is "built to TYLT" and we got to learn all about their new ENERGI Power Backpack that has a battery and cables included with it that allows for charging right out of the box. They developed the bag alongside the TSA to make sure that this backpack will get through airport security and on and off the plane safely and without hassle.

One of the biggest features for the TSA approval is the ability of the back pocket (where you put your laptop) to completely unzip away from the backpack so you can just unzip and send it right through the x-ray. Unlike many other powered backpacks, the TYLT ENERGI Power Backpack features moveable cables so you pretty much put your devices wherever you want inside your backpack; a feature that many travelers will like.

The TYLT ENERGI Power Backpack will be available in March for $149 for the smaller bag and $199 for the larger bag.

This product seems fantastic and definitely worth checking out if you often travel with your devices! The TRG team will be combing the show floor over the next few days to find you, the Nuts About Southwest readers, the best of the best of travel technology.
