Who You Gonna Call on Halloween?

I was born in October, so from an early age fall has been my favorite season — the hot Texas weather begins to cool, leaves change, my birthday rolls around, and the holidays are in sight. And there is one holiday in particular that is near and dear to thousands of SWA Employees—Halloween. Halloween (1)In my short time at Southwest I have heard countless stories about elaborate costumes, over-the-top decorations, and other Halloween festivities which add to the already prolific Southwest Airlines Culture. Our spirited Inflight Crews and haunted gate areas share our LUV of Halloween with our Customers even when they may not be prepared for who, or what, may answer the phone when they call 1-800-I-FLY-SWA. Halloween (5)It could be one of the Pink Ladies from Grease, Captain Hook and his first mate, or even a giant cup of Kraft Easy Mac! While our great Customer Support and Services Employees can’t always celebrate face-to-face with our Customers, they OWN the holiday by dressing up, celebrating in their Centers and in some instances opening their doors to Employees’ children and grandchildren for a special night of trick or treating. Halloween (2)So the next time you call CS&S, just think — you could be talking to the caped crusader, a man dressed like a piñata, or my costume of choice this year anchorman Ron Burgundy! One thing is for sure though, no matter “who” you are speaking with, we will be there owning our unique Southwest Culture with a Fun-LUVing Attitude and fantastic Customer Service.
