April flights 2020

Do most people wear masks?  Is the middle seat left open on purpose?  Spacing in the check-in area?  Can snacks be brought in by customer?  (Chicago to Denver)

Yes, yes, yes , and yes .

Most flights everyone gets their own row, with empty rows between.

To clarify a little bit, there is no forced vacancy of middle seats on Southwest. Open seating prevents that from having to be something Southwest mandates. If a couple wants to sit together in the window and middle seat they are welcome to, but no one is forcing you to sit in a middle seat (unless the plane was full) like might occur on an airline that assigns seats. As @gsking mentioned, flights are very empty and spacing out from other passengers is not a problem.

I've flown SW 5 times in the past month.

In each of those flights there were less than 10 passengers.  On two of the flights there was one other passenger than myself.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about in terms of social distancing.
