In Aruba when you depart you check in through the airport/airlines security but also do US Customs there as well. Southwest's international baggage info says that upon returning to the US we will have to claim our bags after clearing customs and recheck them for our last leg home. Anyone know if this is the case coming back from Aruba since we already did customs? Just wanted to be prepared to know what to expect.
Thank you!

Aruba does have US pre-clearance so you do clear customs there and arrive in the US just like a domestic passenger. Your bags are transferred just like they are on a connecting domestic flight.
