Early bird was selected for me?

I was preparing to check-in 24 hours before my flight but was surprised to find a message saying I couldn't check-in because I selected Early Bird check in.

Thing is... I didn't choose Early Bird check-in.

Could it be that SWA does this randomly for customer because I certainly wouldn't have paid for it.

Having early bird does not prevent anyone from checking in 24 hours or less from departure. So something else is going on. I

f you bought an Anytime fare, early bird is included.

I am unaware of SW "gifting" early bird on anyone.

Thanks. My boarding pass says, 'Anytime.'

When scheduling through my company's preferred scheduling portal, I only see 'Wanna Get Away' and 'Wanna Get Away Plus.' I'm not sure how I selected it but your answer makes complete sense. Thank you!

I've been gifted A List status once so I wasn't sure if this was something similar.

What fare type did you purchase? Are you or is anyone in your party A-List?

I've never heard of EBCI being gifted and adding it is a pretty intentional act, it would be hard to "accidentally" add it. However, it's not totally out of the realm of possibility that Southwest gifted it. I just would look at more logical explanations first.

@TheMiddleSeat - I selected Wanna GetAway but my ticket says, 'Anytime,' so for whatever reason, my travel agency selected the Anytime.

I'm definitely not complaining.

Thanks for responding!
