Heading Back to Pittsburgh from Orlando in January

I'm heading back to Pittsburgh in January to visit my parents in Ohio.  The last flight was very easy and on time.  I'm hoping that January weather cooperates.

Interestingly, I have had three price drops on this flight since originally booked.  It appears that travel is slowing down nationally.

Similar experience with my rental car.  I've cancelled and rebooked eight times and the savings on the price drop nearly paid for my flight.

Now I'm wondering if I need to cancel this flight due to the mess going on right now.  

Does anyone believe that this will be sorted out by January 10th?

I do, but if you are really concerned, book a backup flight on another airline - one that would give a travel fund or refund upon cancellation.

I tried booking with Eastern Airlines, but it doesn't seem that their web site is up.  

What's going on?
