Actually, can't you just vote with your butt? Put it in the seat you want!

Im not complaining, it is you who are doing that.

I asked for the SWA definition of "open", and you chose to interject your opinion.

If you dont like my question, simply dont read the thread.

You asked for the Southwest definition of "open" in a public forum. If you don't want responses from other members of the forum, I'd suggest you contact Southwest directly.

FYI: There is no prohibition on this forum that restricts people from reading threads that contain questions they "don't like."

Lastly, even if I wanted to, it's pretty hard to read this forum and ignore your comments when you reopen dozens of old posts to comment on. 😉

Exactly why the title of the thread specifically mentioned the moderator.

SWA to date has still not defined what "open" and "available" means.

And why do you supose that is?

Because they do not wish to clarify their policy and only want one that is vage and less litigious?

But at the same time making it potentially a powder keg waiting to happen.

Experienced that today. Extreme cases of seat saving. Exit row (entire row) saves for non A group boarders. When a gentleman said he wanted to sit there because he had boarded I was waiting for the fight to break out. Also witnessed another entire row saved (not exit). It really is getting crazy bad.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for jumping in and keeping the conversation on the Southwest Community lively.

Seat saving is a popular topic here on the forum. Southwest Airlines doesn't have a policy for, or against, the saving of seats. I know there are varying viewpoints on how the saving of seats should be handled. There is no problem with discussing them, as long as the discussion is respectful. Let's keep it friendly, or comments on this thread will be closed.
