New Arrival

Landing in Orange county with connecting flight to Nashville in 30 minutes. Will checked bags have time to change planes?

Solution

Yes, assuming Southwest sold you the connection and you are not piecing together two separate reservations.  Also assuming incoming flight isn't severely late.

Of course - checked bags go to the final destination along with you. Oftentimes I watch them load the bags right onto the plane.

No airline, including Southwest, sells a ticket involving a connection, where the airline thinks that the passenger and/or the passenger's luggage cannot make the connection.

Could you miss the connection? Sure. Your inbound flight could be sufficiently late that it's not possible to make the connection
