Interesting. I wonder how this will affect A list passengers and companions. I’d assume they’ll do something along the lines of allowing us to choose our seat assignments at no cost.

I also wonder how this might get weaved into credit card benefits that currently include Early Checkin and Upgraded Boarding. The change to credit card point accumulation towards A-List makes me think this has been coming for a while. They were basically giving people a benefit that they would never get use of.
