I have several power tools with lithium batteries.  Am I able to send them in my checked luggage? I know they have made several changes due to fires and I am sending them to my other house.

Sorry, but lithium batteries are not allowed in checked luggage, but OK in a carry on.

The tools are okay, as long as the batteries are with you.

Can you ship the tools with UPS or something? Especially if they are valuable that would be an easier way to insure them for transit.
