Pretzels and peanuts are a wonderful extra provided by Southwest, however they are limiting (allergies - nuts and gluten) and generally unhealthy snacks. An update should be considered. Any nutritionist would be able to support multiple alternatives keeping everyone happy and full.

Peanuts are no longer available and yes, most of the other snacks provided by Southwest are far from gluten free, but you're always welcome to bring your own food. Just please be mindful of foods with strong odors.

....oh nevermind, won't "re-hash" the breakfast discussion...
Note that the extended snack options are for longer flights, I forget the cutoff but 2+ hours maybe...but these will be similar options of baked goods, there won't be apples or grapes or other fruits - these you should bring from the airport.
Clam chowder, corned beef omellettes, sauerkraut, all have to come from the airport concessions as well.
