Hi there, I have a flight coming up in April, I have a layover but no plane change. Are employees requiring we get off due to COVID?

It depends on how long you'll be on the ground.
If it's a short time - maybe 40 minutes or less, you'll have the option of getting off the plane and stretching your legs or staying on the plane.
IMO people stay on the plane most times.
If you stay on the plane. the disinfecting crew will work around you. I did that last week in Kansas City.
On longer stays, the crew will suggest that you leave the plane.

I personally enjoy staying on and moving up when I can. 🙂

If you do deboard, you get first priority to reboard.

@gsking I think this is what you're saying, but I will express it another way...
On all the flights I've gotten off, they actually allow you back on the plane before they even start with pre-boarding.
