Your best bet is to put a suit within a suitcase. Southwest does not have coat closets onboard like some airlines do. Standard baggage rules apply.

There are numerous YouTube videos on different methods for packing a suit in a suitcase. My husband's suits have always arrived in pristine condition when packed accordingly. I use a dry cleaner bag, tissue paper, and three of those shipping air bladders or doubled-up bubble wrap in the folds to avoid wrinkles.
