Do I need a negative COVID-19 Test to travel?

Question

Do I need a negative COVID-19 Test to travel?

Answer

While Southwest does not require proof of a negative COVID-19 test for your flight, we encourage Customers to follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and to consult with a medical professional should they have any concerns about their ability to safely complete travel. We also ask each Passenger to verify a health declaration upon checking in.

Additionally, each destination’s local government has their own procedures in place. These procedures may include providing proof of a negative test result. You can review updates for the destinations we serve here: Southwest.com/Coronavirus, and we encourage all Customers to follow current guidelines in place by the Centers for Disease control and Prevention. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you onboard soon!
