Can I combine Rapid Reward Store point purchases with Southwest Rapid Card Points on a purchase?

We get one point for $1 on the Rapid Rewards site for a hotel booking (which anyone can do even if they don't have the Southwest Card) . If I use my Southwest Card in addition that gives me 2 points on every $1 when I use it on a Southwest purchase..... Does that mean I am going to get 3 points for every $1? 

I tried researching but I could not find an answer.

A hotel would not count as a Southwest purchase, it would just be a normal purchase, but yes, you still earn points from both credit card spend and hotel partner earning.
