I called Southwest to change my companion. That shows up on my account. But when I try to add her to my upcoming flight it autofills the old companion's information and won't let me change it.

I would call in to have them add her. If you have A-list in addition to companion pass you can call the dedicated A-list number to do it and wait time shouldn't be as long.

I wonder if this happens to be populating the person's info using the browser save feature? I doubt that is the case, but it is possible.
There may be a delay in the change showing properly online, but you can call to have it added (as was previously stated); I would bring the issue to the attention of the phone support person as well!
