Does anyone know if the current offer of signing up for a Chase business card (+80k with the qualified spending) counts towards companion pass points? Thanks in advance!

Yes, points earned via a Southwest credit card are Companion Pass qualifying.

@TheMiddleSeat -the 80k bonus points will count towards my companion pass?! You seem like an expert and I don't like to question the experts. But are you sure?

Well thanks for thinking that. I'm certainly not knowledgeable of all things, but I do know the Southwest credit card bonuses do count toward Companion Pass. I would guess most people who do earn CP rely heavily on these sign up bonuses. If you don't already have a personal card you can also get one of those and combined with the business card you rack up the points pretty quick. You can earn a sign up bonus on personal cards every 24 months.
