Chase- Refer a Friend reward advice needed

I have about 106k out of the 125k points in order to be eligible for a companion pass.

I plan on referring my girlfriend to the chase southwest card, which would give me 20k points according to the Southwest promotion. Once I refer her and she gets approved for the card, will I be rewarded the points before the year ends in order for me to earn the companion pass?

Read the terms of the offer, it should say how long it takes or if the person who signed up has to complete anything first before you would get the referral bonus. I would check out hotel stays that offer large bonuses.
