Hi, If I signup for a Southwest Priority credit card and complete purchase requriements, I get a 50k signup bonus (current offer). Does that count towards A-list status (which starts if you earn 30k points)?
I understand that a $10k spend also gives 1500 TQPs but that is quit ea bit of spend to hit 30k points!

It should be 35k points for A-list and not 30k

No, most tier qualifying points (TQP) can only be earned by flying. With the Priority card you can earn some TQP after you spend, but the sign-up bonus points are not TQP
From Chase:
Earn 1,500 tier qualifying points (TQPs) toward A-List status for every $10,000 spent in purchases annually–with no limit on the amount of TQPs you can earn
