The option to transfer points is completely misleading and very much a disappoint met in the company. There is a fee for transferring your points that greatly devalues your them to the point where you are basically paying double for the same flight (both when you earn the points and when you pay to transfer them). There is no option to cancel the transfer as well. My rapid rewards account and others in my family will allow them to run empty and move on to another air carrier based on this truly disappointing practice.

Instead of transferring, you can book the flight for the other person(s) using your own account / points.

Do you do other things in life where you don't bother to learn about the terms and condiitions? They are not a secret.
If so, you must get angry and disapointed quite frequently.
When you get tired of paying $200+ everytime you cancel or change a flight, or $35+ for every one of your checked bags, feel free to come back

Keep in mind other airlines charge you to transfer points as well and they have the same policy of points transfers being non refundable.
