Over a year ago, a friend of mine suggested that I open a Southwest Rapid Rewards credit card. She said the benefits are great, and for the most part she has been right. She explained that on your year anniversary you earn bonus miles and then the company sends you free drink coupons.

 

So this year on my anniversary I received the bonus points, but no coupons. I know it seems like small potatoes, but I know numerous people who hold the same card, who are getting mailed these items regularly on their anniversary and for other promos, and in my year and 2 months of holding the card, I haven't seen hide nor hair of these mythical things. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi 

 

Log into your Rapid Rewards account. Then go to the bottom of the page and click on where it say travel then click on where it say extras.  Now you will see Rapid Rewards drink coupons.  You want to click on yes I want them!

If you'll send me a private message with your Rapid Rewards account number, I'll take a look and see if I can find where you coupons are getting hung up.

Same thing for my husband, he got them the first year but not the second year and it is set to "yes send me drink coupons as I earn them".

Lindsey, Same question. Can you check when the last time mine were sent out? I also submitted a recommendation on the contact page for developers to look at adding the option within the SWA App to add drink tickets to a RR account electronically rather than mailing them. Then the flight attendant could just scan a drink ticket QR code and I don't have to worry about forgetting them at home like I've done in the past and watched them expire. thx jay

I'm looking into the Drink Coupon Book situation to see if there's a hangup in our system, but if you want someone to take a look at your account, I encourage you to contact our Customer Relations Department where a Representative will be able to check out your personal settings and make sure you're signed up to get them!

Hi Lindsey,

 

I have the same question. My rapid rewards number is *** and I have never received drink coupons even though I have the SW credit card and am a Rapids Reward member with it set appropriately in my preferences. Can you look into this?

@aeckenwiler Have you completed 10 one way trips? That's when you should get the coupons. They don't going out to credit card holders automatically any more.
