Has Southwest offered to Extend A Plus or Companion Pass?

Has anyone heard is SW will now extended the A Plus and Companion Pass for existing customer since people were trying to get their last flights in for the year? 

I would think they should to keep people flying otherwise they will just switch loyalty after this disaster.

Do you really think that  at this moment that SW is thinking of anything other than digging out of the hole?

It would not surprise me if Southwest determined who was close for status and either offered them the ability to earn the credits early next year or just gave them the bump to qualify.  I just wouldn't expect it to happen until sometime in January.  At least that's how I hope they handle the situation when they talk about making things right for their customers.  Fingers crossed for you.

We don’t know what that means yet though.  Can we still earn towards renewal?   Will points count for this year, next year, both?(should be both).

I agree, there is an element of uncertainty, still hoping for the best.

My email states that they are still working to identify people who would have earned status for next year and working on a solution.

I don't see anything like that in my account right now.

If they are doing that, it's being tracked separately.
