How to get last minute points?

I apologize if this is incorrectly posted...admitted newbie here.  If you purchase a non-refundable ticket, and miss the flight, do you still get qualifying points?

With many of the flower companies, you can pay a one-time fee for a year of free deliveries.

Flowers are one of the best buys for generating points (points per dollar spent).

Use your family birthday calendar and appropriate holidays.
