New SW Card

Signed up for a new SW card on 2/28/2020 with a promo of 50,000 miles after spending $2,000 in 2 months.  With the Coronavirus pandemic, will we be allowed extra time to meet the spending requirement to get the miles?

That's a question for Chase.

IMO I'd be surprised if they do.

If you're struggling to figure out how to meet your "spend" (which is the dollar amount to spend to get the promised points/miles within a time frame), then understand that Chase and most banks accept a credit card charge to Plastiq . . . which is an online payment site where you can use a credit card to pay your rent or mortgage or just about anything else where normally the landlord does not accept credit cards.  You simply set up your Plastiq account (takes 5 minutes) and add your landlord's mailing address and contact detail for a "paper check" to be mailed to him.  Easy as pie . . . plus if you go to any of the youtube coaching websites, they will provide you their referral link to save even more.  As an example:  If your rent is $1000 a month, and you pay it with a credit card through Plastiq, then in addition to the $1000 payment charged to your credit card will be their standard credit card fee of around 2% (which is what most stores have to pay).  So the $1000 rent check would cost you $20 more to use your credit card.  But if you sign up using a referral link to Plastiq, you can charge up to $500 on your card without having to pay the 2%.  Therefore, you pay your rent of $1000 and it only costs you $1010 to finalize.  Also, if you asking if it's worth paying 2% to pay bills through Plastiq, then look at the amount of bonus you will be receiving:  50,000 points is worth 500.00 in free department store and other store branded gift cards through Southwest . . . so if you paid $40 in fees to pay $2000 in charges . . . you're still very very ahead!  To learn more, go to Youtube and type in "using plastiq for minimum spend "
