There is too much alcohol being consumed anyway. If you want a drink, you can buy one at the airport.

Is there an echo in here? 🤦🏼
This literally makes zero sense.
How many drinks can you easily get on a SWA plane? One. (Short flights, one visit from the FA, and a small tray). It takes work to get more.
How many drinks can you easily get in an airport bar? As many as you want.
But drinking in the airport is somehow better than drinking in the plane. Whatever.

Since late 2022, I’ve not received drink coupons I reached out monthly for about 3 months and received a set right at the time they discontinued the drink coupons in May. I fly 100+ flights a year (6 flights a week) and often enjoy a drink on my final flight of the week. I’ve stored a significant amount up over the years and still have enough to carry me through 2023. However, the drink coupons are a perk not only that I appreciate but also maintained my interest in being loyal to Southwest. I hope that 2024 brings better technology (app) as well as higher levels of rewards for those of us who are loyal and hit 100+ flights annually.

If you assume that drink coupons expire one year from date of issue, I have some that expire 1/2024 - thus I received some in January, 2023. The practice of mailing coupons stopped shortly after that.

One more reason as a business traveler to stop flying swa. That was a perk for flying them but now to give away the 300k points I have.
why do airlines wet on those of us who grind it out year after year?

Yes... yet another perk evaporating. Apparently no one at SWA customer Loyalty is counting the number of reasons they are giving us to LEAVE their Luv. At least (4) already this yr taken away and ZERO added. It's rough enough to keep flying at all with the new era of quirky passengers and crew. Since I didn't drink, I always gave my drink coupons (100 flts / yr for myself and spouse) to other customers and friends and always with the many free flight miles I give away (usually to elderly or poor attending family health crisis, 'last visits', funerals, graduation and weddings). Inching my way to 1m SWA miles, but may have to soon leave and finish my 1m with United, so I can be lifetime Gold (and never have to fly United again!).
SWA is causing a 'break-up' with it's previously loyal customers. Good thing I sold my LUV shares and put them with a competitor who has beaten the sock of SWA the last yr in Stock Valuation and Earnings. SWA best start 'minding-the-store', as you NEVER want to trash the loyal customers who have stuck with you and helped you build a successful business.

Agreed. They went and made internet more expensive at at time when other carriers are making it cheaper. Fortunately I get it as a preferred flyer, but if they aren’t going to give out free drinks, they better give out something instead.
i certainly won’t be offering my tickets until they ask for them. I’ll get my drinks free if possible.
