Senior fare

Why can't I use my Reward Points to book a flight at the Senior Rate?  What's the point of having all those points if i can't use them.

Solution

Senior Fares are actually more expensive than Wanna Get Away fares, which you can book using points. The benefit of Senior Fares is refundability, but points bookings are already fully refundable, so there's no reason to use points for a Senior Fare.

@chgoflyer Honestly, the Senior fare is higher?  Wow, why then have a Senior fare.  That's a buzz fizzle to turning 65 for me.

@chgoflyer But I've also learned in the meantime, SWA no longer offers Senior fares.  That's a downer.
