I am thinking of opening the SW rapid rewards premier personal credit card because they are running a promotional offer right now where you can earn 60,000 points (by spending $2k in first 3 months). I've also heard of the SW rapid rewards referral promo where if a current card holder refers me (and if I spend $1k in first 3 months), then the person who referred me gets 10,000 points and I would get 40,000 points. I have a friend who is a SW card holder, so I know someone who could refer me... I'm just trying to figure out if there is any way to get the 60,000 points promo and the referral points. I tried calling the SW credit card services, but I did not get a definitive answer from the person I spoke to. I'm guessing you can't get both, but I'd like to know for certain before I sign up.
