Hello.

I hate to say this, but the problem is likely on your side, and not Southwest's. I have logged on repeatedly over the last month, and have had no problems. If there was some type of general problem with the website, these boards would be covered with comments like yours, but yours is the only one (except for those outside the US, and that's a whole different issue).

I had a similar problem with the Chrome browser trying to reach a different site. Chrome has a nasty habit of saving and using a saved password EVEN WHEN YOU ARE telling the browser to use a new one. You have to manually go into browser settings and delete the saved password. I don't know if IE does the same thing.

You are likely having some type of browser issue.

I'd suggest three things

1) Download a new browser  like Opera,  Maxthon or Mozilla and try to log on with it.

2) Try to log on at a place like your library.

3) Using the Southwest phone app, try logging in via cell data as opposed to wi-fi.

If any of he above work, that is a confirmation that the problem is within Chrome and or IE.

Please come back and let us know if it works.

Good luck.

Thanks dfwskier for taking the time to review my problem

If the user / pass combination would be wrong, I should be receiving a password error.

This is not my case.

I login at southwest.com home page  (no any other URL)

when trying to login I´m directed to

www.southwest.com/flight/maintenance.html

I´m not saying this is a complete system failure.

Maybe, there is a problem on my account

I have searched the forum and found some people with the same problem

- I have different browsers = Same error

- I have tryed in different places, store or office, Same error

- I have tryed thru Mobile App =  New Error !

Mobile App shows this error

[ The request is forbidden  Error 403100000 ]

I have tried to reset the password : Same error

I have tried to login with username instead of number: Same error

There has to be a problem with my account

Please I need assistance

Thank you

For mobile app, our go-to is @GloriaL, maybe she can shed light on this particular error code.

Are you going to a saved/bookmarked link or just http://www.southwest.com and clicking on Log in at the top of the page?  If attempting to access an old/invalid link that could cause a problem.

Are you able to log into your acccount via a mobile app (iPhone, iPad, Android device)?  Not talking the mobile website, but the actual Southwest app that is downloaded to the device.

Using an old link, point to the wrong web adress, could cause that problem

Thanks for the additional information. At this point your best bet is to contact Southwest either by phone or send a message on Twitter (@SouthwestAir) as you will need an employee to assist further. Remember to only send personal information in private messages.

Please reply here with additional information if you get the issue resolved.

Good luck!

One more idea - is there someone else in your family or a friend that can try logging in on your computer to see if their otherwise normally functioning login works?

If yes:

If no:

  • Keep investigating your computers for clearing out cache, starting from freshly typed URLs and not bookmarks, etc.
  • I didn't see in the previous post - are you located in the USA?

Solution

Hello, I want to inform that this problem has been solved

Suddenly, my account started to work again  (I don´t know how)

The same login process that formerly showed the error page,  is now accepting the login

These are Good News !

But ....  I´m unable to help other people with this problem, beacause I don´t know how it has been solved.

Thanks for all your posts and help

Thank you !!
