Using Points and Early Bird Check in

I recently reserved a flight using RR points. I wasn't given the option to purchase early board check in at time of reservation. I tried to add later and it said I was ineligible. Is this true?

You should be able to add early bird check-in to your reservation as long as your flight is more than 36 hours away and you are not a list. You can try reaching out to reservations at 800-435-9792 and they should be able to assist in adding EB check in.

Are you A-List?  As long as you are booking 36+ hours before departure having A-List is the only reason I can think of that you won't be able to purchase EarlyBird.  EBCI cannot be paid for with points, but can be added to a points booking.
