Anyone notice footnote 5 for AL and AL+ in the Big News for 2024 RR changes:
Free same-day change/standby Same-day change: On the day of travel, you can switch free of airline charges to another flight with space available departing on the same calendar day between the same origin airport and destination airport as your original flight. Wanna Get Away® fares are not eligible for free same-day change. Same-day standby: You can list for same-day standby via a Southwest Customer Service Agent at the airport or the Southwest app or mobile web. You will receive a message based on the contact preference selected during booking if you are cleared on the flight.

If WGA areas not eligible for same-day change, what's the real benefit of AL?
WGA+ fares includes free same-day change.

Common A-Listers -- let's let Southwest hear what we think about this "enhancement."

The footnotes are a little goofy on this page - will try to confirm this statement.
That would be a weird thing to take away from A-list.

It's suspiciously the same language from the fare description and I'm hopeful that someone just got caught up with all the footnotes, if you look here.

It would be strange to grant that ability to A-list and then take it away so soon. These must have all been in the master plan for some time as each new benefit change is rolled out and I can't believe they would have added that perk and then take it away.

Over on Reddit SWA-Mark confirmed that it was an error in the footnotes and same-day changes remain an A-list benefit in 2024.
