I know I am in the minority, but I have absolutely no use for the free drink coupons that come along with my A-list status. I've never been a big drinker and while I appreciate other people finding them beneficial, it would be nice to be able to get anything other than alcohol with these coupons. You used to offer vitamin water but that went away. How about a snack box or a candy bar or absolutely anything else?

Hi @slbrantley,
Welcome to the Southwest Airlines Community! Thank you for sharing this idea for drink coupons. Our Rapid Rewards Team is always looking for ways to improve the program so I will pass this along to them.
Hope to see you onboard a Southwest flight soon!

Ashley,
I am in the same situation as this person. I don't drink. Certinly SW can come up with something to reward us none drinkers. We can't give them away, can't sell them stop sending them and get me something I can use. What has SW done with this since you reported it to them on 11/28/2016? I have asked for something mulitiple times and nothing has ever been done. Don't just thank me for flying SW do something for us non drinkers PLEASE.

According the Southwest Customer Service, we have two choices: take it or leave it.
Per Ashley's friendly, but unhelpful response:
Thanks for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to respond.
Currently, we reward our loyal Customers by providing them with Drink Coupons. Each valid Drink Coupon can be used onboard a Southwest flight for one free alcoholic drink. At this time, there is not an alternative choice to the Drink Coupons.
If you’d like to “opt out” of receiving Drink Coupons, you can change your preferences by logging in to your account on Southwest.com. Once you are logged in, click on the "My Account" link at the top of the page. From here, you can click on the "View My Preferences" box or scroll to the bottom section of the page. Next, select “Travel” from the menu options listed within the “My Preferences” section and you’ll see two boxes—“Airport” and “Extras.” Select “Extras” and click on the “Edit” button to change your coupon preferences.
We truly appreciate your feedback, and we hope to have an opportunity to share the skies with you soon.
Sincerely,
Ashley, Southwest Airlines

slbrantley,
If you want, shoot me an email to my yahoo email account. Username: okstate_joe
I like to use the tickets, but don't fly often enough to get them (maybe 4 tickets/yr). I'd be glad to pay you for them via PayPal or something. Then, you could use that money to pay for other drinks/snacks. If not, no big deal...just throwing the option out there.
Thanks,
Joe

to Slbrantley, your profile page has an option to not issue the coupons.
But voicing your suggestion may have an affect. There is already one here, and others in the 'expired coupon' post shouting "me, me, here, here." LOL
At least you got the coupon. I've searched, including using search, and found nothing on how they are issued.
However, SW may gain a tax credit just like casinos get for their free drinks (at suggested retail.)

Im in exactly the same situation. Have offered NUMEROUS suggestions to Southwest on what they could do and they seem to ONLY want people to drink!
