My Christmas trip was a bust. I couldn't get out of Denver to Minneapolis but now I can't cancel my return trip from Minneapolis to Denver at the end of the week.
I'd love to cancel so that someone can take my seat on the plane but I can't do it online or by phone for all the reasons mentioned in this forum. I drove home over 45 minutes and have no desire to drive back to the airport and stand it line to cancel a return flight for a trip that never took place.
Here is what I get when I try to cancel online:

- We are unable to modify or cancel your reservation as requested because at least one passenger listed on the reservation has already checked a bag for their flight. Please contact a Southwest Airlines Customer Representative for assistance at 1-800-I-FLY-SWA (1-800-435-9792).

You could try one of the international 800 numbers. I understand the wait isn;t terrible
